k1 processing time

What is the actual k1 processing time people have been seeing recently? I know it says 5 months on the uscis page but I have a feeling it actually takes longer than that. Thanks in advance.

The K1 processing times you see on the USCIS websits are the average approval times of petition review and approval while in USCIS jurisdiction, but does not take into account the additional time in State Department (NVC and Embassy) jurisdiction. Add three months to what you see on USCIS website and you have a more realistic timeframe.

About 4 months back, K1 Embassy interview dates at Manila were so hard to get that applicants had to go to the interview date website twice a day to look for cancellations of interview dates until a new months opened up. That has lightened up lately, but that short period of hard-to-get interviews probably added 1-2 months to average k1 processing time.
