  • Former name not included in original 1-129F form

    Hello Folks please help,

I have just received NOA2 approval and start preparing the documents for K-1 visa. BAMM!!! Just realised that the original i-129f/g-235a form did not mention my former names.

I was born in Thailand, then moved to Australia when i was 20yrs old, then became an Australian citizen. My name had changed when I was 18 yrs old back in Thailand, during the time in Australia my passport, my work and every docs are under my recent name never use former name ever since. So when my fiance and i filled out both forms i didn't fill out my former name (I was stupid enough to forgot it).

    - Question 1. what should I do in this case? Should I call USCIS to make amendment after they approved or just fill out the DS-230 including the previous name?
    - Question 2. when I request Australia police cert do I need to include my former name in Thailand (which I never used in Australia)?

Greatly appreciated if anyone could let me know how can i go about it.

    Cheers!!!
