The DS-160 and visa fee cannot be processed until after the petition is approved and an Embassy-specific case number is assigned by the National Visa Center (NVC).

As soon as you have the Embassy-specific State Department case number, you can proceed with paying the fee and completing form DS-160.

yesterday I we were approved by the USCIS :-) Feb 9 to august 4. I thought it would take a few more weeks.


How do I acquire the Embassy-specific State Department case number? Is this from the NVO?
