Hello, I am applying for a K1 visa for my fiancee
I am reading what she needs to bring to the interview process. According to http://travel.state.gov/contenthttps...nce-k-1.html#2 one of the documents she will need to bring is a passport.
It states, "A passport valid for travel to the United States and with a validity date at least six months beyond your intended period of stay in the U.S. (unless country-specific agreements provide exemptions)."
She has never had a passport to travel to the United States. Does she need to get a passport along with the K1 Visa so she can travel to the UNited States or will she receive a passport when she is approved.
If she needs to purchase a passport will she need to purchase it before the interview and what if she is not approved for a passport?
