  • Paying for Visa Fee at "ustraveldocs" and stuck...

Hello... NVC has supplied me with a case number for my approved USCIS case. It has been sent to the embassy at Amman.

I am trying to pay for the interview so it can be schedule. At one point it requests my "IV Case ID" which I believe is the number that looks like "AMM2015 YYYY XX" When I try to enter it, it says to ensure my case is ready for processing, but maybe it's not yet. However, it also says "please ensure you have paid the correct amount for the visa you are applying for."

Well that's what I'm trying to do!! I'm not sure if they're talking about the fee I already paid at USCIS at the start or what... Is there another place to pay for the interview? Can anyone give me some advice, I'm feeling lost here....

    Thank you.

    Hi Janym134,
You can check your case status right here:

Make sure you complete the DS-160 application before you go to pay visa fee because they ask the DS-160 number.
Complete DS-160 and try again. Good luck

      Useful tool, thanks.

Yeah I'm wondering what happens after the DS160 is put in, I'm actually past that step. I just can't find any link to print this "payment document" that I'm supposed to bring to the bank (or have fiancee take to bank).

Is it after the step that is shown in the picture in my first post? Thanks.

I'm sorry I'm not sure about that because I did it last year so I forgot it. But I think so, do step by step and you will get the payment document with CGI number, then print it. If you don't see any sign to say "print" just copy then paste in a word page then print it

When I check that link at https://ceac.state.gov/ceacstattracker/status.aspx and put my case number in , it says the case is in transit to the consular. I wonder if this means it is being physically mailed? I had heard they switched to a mostly digital system and the petitioner just brings in that barcode on the confirmation page and bam, consulate brings up the case. No waiting for mail to get there....

          Anyone have insight on this?

This is my experiment, I think it can answer your question:
When I had my case number, I email to consulate to change my address, they responded me by saying they just got my digital petition and it takes 10 weeks to receive the physically so they could not change my address. I was not sure when will they receive the physically petition so I kept inquire every 10 days. Then finally they received it after 2 weeks since they got the digital version, not 10 weeks as they said.
I can say that they don't work on your case until they have physically petition.
