Extending k1 visa (not yet entered US)

I'd like to know if its possible to extend/renew the k1 visa past its expiry time. I havent yet traveled to the US but it will expire soon. i have the opportunity to continue working remotely but i need to extend by about another month if im to do so.

Ive looked online but im a bit confused as most answers seem to be about people who have already traveled. Anyone have any experience with this scenario?
