Hi guys - new to this sorry if I make any mistakes.
Basically been with an American for four years, met in the UK, came out to Mexico for two years living on Tourist Visas (exiting every six months) and staying with his mother. Now he is back in the US working and I am about to head home to the UK to start the visa application.
I am not married - therefore we can opt for either visa (i.e we can get married before and go for spouse visa if necessary).
I am employed online by a UK company, I only make around $1000 USD a month and work online --- IF I opt for a fiance visa, can I still work for my company back in the UK so I have an income whilst I wait for my green card?
We're more inclined to go for the Fiance Visa because it means a lot less time apart - however, I don't want to be sat on my hands doing nothing for a year, at the same time as not wanting to break any laws and get chucked out before I can even get my green card.
Does anyone have any advice on this?
Basically, whilst I am a non immigrant waiting for my green card, can I declare an income from outside the US?
