Danger Co Sponsor?

Hi all,


I have a question. There might be someone willing to co sponsor us, but they are afraid of going to jail or being sued. Now i ask a stupid question: Can a co sponsor go to jail, and so who will put them there? I am not going to be a criminal or lead a bad life. I am a very responsable person who does not live a risky life. Who has experiences as being a co sponsor? And if i live good and my partner does to, what is the co sponsor afraid of?

A cosponsor is obligated to reimburse the goverment if you go on welfare. That is it.
