I-864 help - please
I am filing for my Jamaican husband. So far, i have done everything on my own with little to no problems. When i reached the affidavit of support, i had many hiccups. It has been sent back to me 3 times and each time it is a small error that only confuses me more. I am not able to sponsor my husband on my own so my mother is my joint sponsor.
In part 3 2a. of the I-864, am i supposed to list my husband as family member number 1 since he's the one that i'm sponsoring? Does my mother do the same? I'm asking because the correction checklist stated (my husband's name) is not a spouse or child of the principal applicant (my mother) therefor you can not list him in this section. But she didn't list him on her form. I listed him on mine. Im very confused as to why they would send the check list in her name and not mine and the things they want changed, she never wrote in the first place
