Hi everyone, I am just looking to see if anyone has some advice. I'm still waiting for my k1 visa petition approval, the uscis received it on January 20,2014. It's been 6 months already! I feel that no news is good news, is this true? Like if they requested more evidence I should have heard something already right? Also does it take longer than 6 months, I'm hoping to find out by the end of this month.

Hello Jennifer- I had filed for a K1 visa end of July 2014 and I got a mail in Fe 2015 asking for further info. Did you check this website https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/processT...C9RCyFagQNRyeu
to see which month they are currently processing? the website only gets updated once a month I think, so you can track it every month and estimate the progress of each month and estimate your expected approval date.
I think you should get an approval soon. This step is the longest, the rest don't take that long.
