About sponsoring for K1 Visa

Must I have a job to apply for K1 Visa?
Does it have to be me as a sponsor? Or is it okay if it's my family that's sponsoring but I'm the one applying for fiance visa?

Technically you don't have to have a job. But since you're the primary sponsor, you have to show that you're capable of supporting your fiancee.
If you don't have a regular income, then it will really be a bad impression. Even if you get many co-sponsors, You still need to have income. But if you're a student or something, then it might be understandable. If you don't mind me asking, why don't you work?

Thank you so much for answering. About why I'm not working, I'd rather not answer for personal reasons. But I'm currently looking for job to start working again. So I was just wondering if I should wait until I get a job to start the process of applying for K1 or just go ahead with it already since my family agreed to sponsor. I guess I will wait until I get a job now. Thanks again for your time and answering!
