A couple questions (re: visa packet, bringing vehicle to USA)

1) Is the passport going to be in the visa packet? To my knowledge, you're not suppose to open it until you cross into the USA. However, I need to photocopy my visa to show the manufacturer so I can get a manufacturer letter for my vehicle that says it conforms to EPA and DOT standards. Are these two separate things?

2) Aside from manufacturer letter, what else do I need to do so I can bring my vehicle to USA? It is a 2015 Dodge Grand Caravan...
