Adjustment of status requirements

Hello All,

My fiancee is finally here Thank you all for answering all my questions. I have some more

I am submitting the following documents
1- Marriage certificate
2-Approval of K1 visa
3-I94
4-I765
5-I485
6-G1145
7-I-864
8-G-325

I don't see any requirement on the I-485 form to show proof of joint bank account or pictures of the wedding etc, but I have also heard that we should submit some documentation like a lease, bank account, pictures etc. Is this really required?

Secondly- she had her medical examination and got her I-693 which she gave to the immigration officers when she entered the U.S, I am not sure if she needs to submit anything else? we don't have any documentation of her vaccination etc. Everything was submitted to the officers at the port of entry. Does she need to take any shots in the U.S? and do we need to fill out a I-693 again?

Adjustment of Status

Bank Accounts, Pictures, joint properties are not required in filing for Adjustment of Status. My Husband just received his Green Card without even going to an interview.

I-485 instructions says that if you are applying for an adjustment of status from a K1 visa, you don't need another medical exam, but need vaccination supplement. Which vaccination? Do I just find a doctor certified to give these vaccinations and make an appointment with them without any letter from USCIS?

I dont think another medical exam is needed. A copy of the vaccinnation certification from the panel medical exam will suffice. Thats what we submitted.

You just need to submit a copy of the I-693 supplement of the vaccination. That's assuming your fiancee took the vaccination during the medical exam. Are you saying that the DHS officer took the vaccination away from your fiancee during entry?
Anyway, no medical exam is required now.

When she got her medical done a couple of months ago, they gave her an envelope and asked her to not open it and give it to the officer at the port of entry, so he have no proof of any medical. How do we get the supplement vaccine now? I guess it is required to get it right?

Sure, no problem.
So when you initially take the medical exam, you're given the option to take the vaccination. If you do, you'll get a form I-693 filled out by the physician. It should be included in the packet you got to hand over to the officer at POE. They should've returned that packet to you.
If you didn't get the vaccination, then its required now to file the AOS I-485. So, in other words, if you don't have the I-693, then get it now. I'm not sure who's authorized to fill that out, but surely you can check the USCIS website (or Dep't of State website) to find out.
