I thank you for your time for sharing your knowledge about this matter.
I am an Indian citizen. My wife was green card holder and going to have her oath ceremony on this 15th to become us citizen. I already applied for spouse visa and got i130 approved now waiting for Already visa centre to contact me. She is going to get changed her name on cirtificate. While I am having an Indian passport where in the block of spouse name is empty because my passport was issued in 2009 and I got married in 2014.
One of my friend was in the same situation. He had an interview couple of weeks ago and interviewer asked him to put his wife's name on his Indian passport so he had to apply for fro renew passport with his wife's name on it.
I am asking you that is it really necessary to have my wife's name on it? Shall I apply for new passport?
