Hi,
I am a US citizen married to a non-US citizen that is living abroad. We have a 4 year old daughter and we have been married 6+ years.
I am currently living back in USA and would like to bring them here. My daughter has a US citizenship.
My spouse has never been to USA.
My question is more from a financial stand point. While the visas are pending does it matter if I live in a place that I am paying by myself or if I am living at someone's else's house (roommate).
My goal is to save up as much money as possible before they come here. Wasting it on an apartment just seems not financially wise. I would rather save up that money for the move, dp on house, etc.
Does anyone have experience with that?
Thanks
