Help - K1 Visa or Fiance Visa or not at all??

Hello - my boyfriend and I have been dating for a year. He is an Irish resident. He is coming for a visit in January but we have decided to marry at that time. I am being told that to apply for a Fiance visa could take up to a year for approval and if we choose not to go that route and he enters the USA as a visitor and we get married while he is here he could get deported etc... What do we do? We would like to get married in the USA January 6th.

You should apply K1 visa or Fiance visa for him. When comes to USA on K1 visa. You need to marry within 90 days.

There is no particular reason to expect your guy to be deported if you marry in the U.S. But if he admits to entering the U.S. with intention to marry and remain in the U.S., he could be deported or asked to leave for using his B2 or Waiver entry to circumvent immigration requirements.

Fiancee visas are being routinely granted in 6-7 months from submittal of paperwork these days.
