  • New to the site... hi!

    Hi everybody,

I have joined the site today, although have been reading the discussion boards non stop for the past couple of months whilst preparing our I129F pack.

I am finally happy to say today is the start of our journey

i129F pack sent to the Texas lockbox - 17th Dec 2015

After hours of reading others experiences and posts, we feel we are in for a long tearful journey, well I am, my other half seems to think ill be there by Valentine's Day lol. Bless his heart uh?

The part I'm a little confused about is the time to wait till the i129f is approved from the Texas lockbox. The table on the site is confusing me, it says end of February, does that mean that the current ones are approved at that time?

Many thanks. Glad I'm finally at this point
    Timeline

17th Dec 2015 - I129F posted to Texas lockbox LOST BY THEM

The Texas Lockbox location is only a distribution location, as they may forward your package to the California Service Center, Vermont Service Center, or the Texas Service Center, depending on USCIS workload and your geographic location. But each of these 3 processing locations have different timeframes for processing K1 petitions, with California being the fastest of late.

February timeline means, applications received this year February are being approved now. Any application received after February is on hold because of their work load.
There are few special scenarios where some people got out of the timeline approvals but most cases you need to wait till the timeline. For your case until it shows a date of 17th December 2015.

        timeline varies

Depending on your location, your case get's forwarded to one of the three service centers (like rayb mentioned). The USCIS processing table on their website means that as of now, the cases filed in February are being approved. But take that with a grain of salt. Your timeline may vary based on so many things. Some people fly through in a month, while others take several months.
        Good Luck.

Good luck. I learned the hard way, I hope you don't have to. Immigration is interesting. Not considered as legal advice.
