K3 spousal visas are not being actively processed by USCIS these days. You can submit the K3 I-129F petition after you submit the I-130, but USCIS will move the I-130 on and approve the K3, but not move it on to the NVC.

What's the status of your I-130 submittal?

        Brother Sam,

Your choices are limited. Wait for the I-130 to be approved. Then submit the K3 I-129F, just in case. Then when your I-130 reaches the NVC, you pay the $120 and $325 fees and submit sponsorship and civil documents. Then wait for the CR-1 visa interview at the U.S. Embassy in your spouses processing country. Your total processing time, from submittal of I-130 petition to Embassy interview, will be about 10 months (or more).

If anyone told you this would be an faster, your informant was not well informed.

A fiancee visa process is about 3 months faster than the spousal visa process.
