I-485 or I-864

I got married in January of 2013 but my spouse never filed the I-485 form. I would like to start the process of my greencard. The problem is that I don't know if I should file the I-485 form or since it has been 3+ years to I go past go and start with the I-864?

You have to use both, i-485 is for adjustment of status (green card) and i-864 as affidavit of support.
