  • K-1 Visa Entry Without USC Fiancee With Me

    Greetings.

    I am a US Citizen by Birthright Citizenship who never lived in the US. My fiancee and I are planned to move to the US and got a K-1 visa for him. We are planning to come to the US for our marriage and continue to live there after. Normally we planned to come to the US together after we both finish our business careers here about a month before the end of his K-1 Visa expiration date. The problem is, I as a US Citizen had a delay for my work and need to stay for 2 more months. In this case we have some options for our entry;

    -We can try to expand the visa or re-apply for it (which will be costly, time consuming and not so logical for just 1 month of delay)
    -We can travel to the US together, after our entry I leave my fiancee in the US and turn back and come back again a month later and continue marriage process (which will be costly again because we live in Europe, airline tickets are not cheap)
    -Or can my fiancee enter the US WITHOUT ME ASSISTING HIM and I can join him a month later and we continue the marriage process as we planned.

    The last option is the most cost friendly and logical one if everything is fine by the laws but I cannot find any information regarding the entry procedure with K-1 visa. Please keep in mind that I never lived in the US as a citizen since I was born, but we have the intention to live full time in the US after the marriage and have strong documents to support it. (10 year old relation, applied for voter registration, had information how to move our dogs and furniture to the US, tried to open bank account and turned our money to US Dollars etc.)

    Any information will appreciated.

    Thanks.

    The K1 petitioner does not have to enter the U.S. with the K1 visa beneficiary.

      Ok, Thank you for the answer,

      But should the petitioner at least have to be in US at that time in? (Because she was not in the US for the last 20 years, doesn't even have an US resident address or mobile phone number if they want to reach her.)
