  • I-129f and Place of Marriage

    Hi everyone,
I'm planning on starting the k-1 process by the end of this month. I have 2 questions, and would appreciate any answers.

    1. I am currently a graduate student, so my permanent address is different from my mailing address. My permanent address is where my parents live. On the I-129f form, they ask where your fiancee intends on living. Should I list my permanent address as the place where she intends to live, even though we won't be living there?

    2. Does it matter where we get married once she enters into the US, or will we have to get married in the city where my permanent address is?

hey congrats on taking the step.
answer to question 1: permanent is fine!
answer to question 2: anywhere you can get married in the US (assuming there isn't a state law against it)
    -Good Luck
    --Good luck--
Good luck. I learned the hard way, I hope you don't have to. Immigration is interesting. Not considered as legal advice.
