Hello everyone,
I'm (Canada) going through the K1 Visa process and right now I need to get the Police Certificate. The checklist does mention that all I need is
"Residents of Canada may obtain a certificate of no conviction issued by any Canadian police service so long as it notes that Canadian Police Information Centre (CPIC) or the national criminal records repository was searched using your name and date of birth"
Now there's a full background check I can do that takes around 4 weeks to get back to you. I was hoping to get something quicker than that since I have no priors or anything on my record.
Is a certificate of no conviction the same as the full background check?
The only other option I found was which takes 7-10 days to get back to you however I was told this was for Montreal only.
I was hoping to be able to do something quicker than 4 weeks
Thanks
