Ok so me and my fiance have been together for nearly 2 years now. We even just welcomed a daughter in February
He came to visit me twice last year but only for a few weeks at a time. This time he came over on the tourist visa which allows him to stay up to 90 days unfortunately he's going back THIS WEEK! ![Frown](https://www.immihelp.com/forum/core/images/smilies/frown.png)
Once he goes back he's going to send me all the required documents I need from him to file form I-129. The issue for it taking so long is his ex just out right refused to sign divorce papers until he came over here even though they were separated for a while when he came over the first time. She finally signed and the UK takes forever since they don't require court for divorces.
As soon as I get those documents I'll be gathering everything together and making copies for both of us.
Does anyone have any tips for me? I've done loads of research and feel confident in this process but I'd still love feedback from people who have gone through this. I'm sure you all understand how stressful and heart breaking it is when you're truly in love with your person.
Also has anyone done this through UK embassy? Are they fairly easy/fast paced?
We're just going to continue doing 3 months here, 3 months there but it's so hard when you have a baby that looks just like the person you love so much and he can't be here every step of the way and of course no one understands here. They all cringe and give looks of judgement when they here I'm going to marry someone from overseas.
