Any one with experience on how long it takes for Fiance to get her Passport back after you get married?

She is currently taking classes in her country and we want to go back so she can continue them without interruption.

Her classes are a special type where she attends classes for a 2 to 3 week period twice a year (June and December).

Once she receives her Advanced parole, she can travel back for those periods, but she cannot reside outside the US for an extended period of time and maintain her LPR status.

are both of you in the US now? did she changed her last name that's why they took her passport? because the usual process is 1. you need to get married here in US 2. apply for her change of status (green card) it will take like 4-5 months process, then after that, that's the time she can go home to her country. I filed for permanent resident last DEC 2015 and the same time with advance parole. but my advance parole didn't came, only my green card arrived this April 2016. So basically, if she's gonna go home to her country without the green card and advance parole, she cant come back here in US anymore.
