    I applied for this from Thailand.

    August, 5 Ship K-1 Visa information to USCIS in USA
    August, 10 The package arrive at USCIS in USA
    August, 12 Notice of action form I-797C (NoA1) and USCIS receive payment $340
    August, 28 Approval notice (NoA2) and the case Forward to NVC
    September, 4 NoA2 package arrive by the mail in US (US citizen’s house)
    September, 10 Apply for single certificate in Thailand (You should get this certificate before apply for Police record because the police will ask for this form.)
    September, 14 Get single certificate
    September, 15 Apply for police record in BKK, Thailand
    September, 28 Call NVC (in USA) to get case number (for tracking status)
    October, 9 NVC forward package to US Embassy in BKK, Thailand (status shows in transit)
    October, 14 Receive police record by mail (Thailand)
    October, 14 Receive notification letter from NVC by mail (USA)
    October, 19 Pay for applying K-1 Visa (schedule an interview) for US Embassy in Thailand $265
    October, 19 Status for interview is Ready (you can check by using case number.)
    October, 20 US Embassy in BKK, Thailand ship Packet 3
    October, 21 Ship the information that you need for Packet 3 to US Embassy in Thailand (If you are ready, you can ship the package after get case number. You don’t have to wait until the packet 3 arrive at your house. All the information that you need for Packet 3 is in the US Embassy website.)
    October, 22 The package that I send for Packet 3 arrive at US Embassy in BKK, Thailand
    October, 26 Receive Packet 3 from US Embassy by mail (Thailand)
    October, 28 Get the date for K-1 Visa interview by email
    November, 25 Visa interview 7.30 am at US Embassy in BKK, Thailand.
    K-1 visa approve and fly to USA! (You have to get marry with in 3 months.)
    February, 15 Apply for Marriage License at City Hall in USA ($25)
    March, 4 Pick up Marriage License at City Hall then gave it to the person that will file the certificate for you (ex. the priest) or you can get marry at City Hall.
    March, 25 Pick up the finished Marriage License at City Hall
    March, 25 Send AOS I-485 (Green card), I-765 (work permit) form and Check to USCIS ($1,070) (You can apply for Green card and work permit at the same time. If you do this, it will not cost anything for work permit.)
    April, 8 USCIS receive form I-485, I-765 and check.
    April, 13 Receive the date for taking a photograph and fingerprints by mail
    May, 11 Photograph and fingerprints taking
    June, 6 Approval Notice for I-765 and I-485
    June, 13 Received Green Card and Work Permit
