What is this security clearence in NVC?
My wife and I filed k-3 on Nov 2, 2005 and got approved on the 24th of Jan, 2006. Still NVC hasn't sent the case file to the Consulate in Guangzhou, China as of today, the 14th of March, 2006. The answer from NVC is that it is under the process of security clearence. Does anyone know what it is and how long will it take to get down with it? The operator from NVC won't answer me those questions.....

They are simply doing your spouse's background check against their criminal's data base...Once its clear then NVC will send your spouse application to US Conslate in china...be paitent, things will be just fine... -

Yes, I meant the sponsor's record...your spouse will have to get local police certificate in china which will show your spouse's records...Comment
