Hey there. I just submitted an I-129F for a K1 Fiance Visa. I'm the petitioner. I had all of my affairs in order (or so I thought) until I received a Notice of Action back in the mail. The form itself didn't have a Receipt Number, and said:
"This office does not have jurisdiction to accept the application/petition you submitted. The application/petition along with any fees and supporting documentation is being returned to you with this notice. Please submit your completed application/petition to the US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) office or service center with jurisdiction."
The form goes on to say some pretty generic things after this, but nothing specific about what I need to do next. So obviously at this point I thought I sent it to the wrong address. I live in PA, and according to the website, the address to send it to is:
USCIS
P.O. Box 660151
Dallas, TX 75266
I called the USCIS number, and they told me that without a Receipt number they couldn't help me. Eventually I was escalated to an Immigration Officer who told me that he's never heard of a 797C form with this verbiage before, and to send it back because it may have been done in error. So I suppose the question I'm posing is this: has anyone here had to deal with this exact notice, stated exactly this way before? I'll send the forms back, but the fact that no one has heard of this, and even searching only brings up weak results...I'm at a bit of a loss here.
