my girlfriend left the us while she was in the green card process

ok ill try and make this as short as possible, i met and fell in love with a girl from brazil and i have been going over there to see her every few months, i am US born and raised, she she lived in the us for about 4-years and was going through the green card process and was getting ready to get it. she had problems with her husband at the time and got divorsed and left him, she had nothing to stay for in the us and all her family is in brazil so she said forget the green card i dont want to ever come back to the usa again and got up and left. well we met and fell in love and i need to get her back in the us so we can get married and start our life together. while at the airport they told her that she could not leave in this process and they took passport, but we know she wasnt deported. know we are not sure if she should try and get a tourist visa or a Fiance Visa, we just want the most secure way without her getting denied. she has an appointment next month for her tourist visa but we are getting scared they might reject her, the only good thing is that she ownes 2 homes and goes to one of the best collages and was excepted for a goverment job. please any info would help us.
