I am an immigrant (live in the US) and my fiance is a US citizen who is also a US Marine....we dont know how to go about applying for a K1 visa....we want to get married this june but dont know if we need to apply for the visa first or if we can get married and apply after....what should we do???

Dear.., Just get Marriage and what kind of immigrant you are? r u a permanent residantal? simple if u dont have a green card get marriage first and than apply for green card on ur marriage based dont need to apply for K1...K1 visa is for bring a forigner fiance to USA for Marriage purpose and you are already in Usa so u should have any kind of problem..Best of luck... -
Getting married first
I am hoping to get divorced (both here currently on temporary visa's), not sure how long I have before I have to leave country after divorce becomes final, (presume I would need to leave before official visa end date as I am only here as a spouse of husband on working visa) but if for eg I have one month and I get married to my boyfriend during that month does that also mean I don't have to return to the UK and apply for K1?
I was going to go through that process but was hating the thought of having to be separated for 6+ months.
