Fiancée visa

Hey!

I'm an 18 year old girl from Denmark, and my fiancé is an 18 year old male, US citizen. He just joined the navy boot camp last week, and I will be finishing my education next month. (My education counts as 'some college' in the states). We have been dating for 2½ years now, and we have 'meat' several times (He lived here for about 1½ years of the time we have been dating).

We would like to start a life together in the states, and the easiest way will be to get married, which we intended to do anyway, so that is not a problem.

I have a few questions to the visa though, which I hope some of you can help me answer for me.

1) Will the K3-visa be the best option for us?
2) How much money will the visa-papers+other paper-work cost us?
3) Should we have any money in savings according to any laws? (Of course we will have some money saved, but is there any rules for how much?)
4) Once we are married, how long would it be till I will be eligeble for working in the states?

I will probably find more questions, but for starters, I hope some one can help me with these questions

1) if ur already married than K3 will be best..if u boths r not married yet and want to marry in united states than K1(fiance(e) ) visa will be best...

3)Yes your fiance need to have money in bank accounts in usa..if he dont have enough he can use co-sponsor...the sponsor is a requirement of fiance visa..

4)After Marriage in United States u have to apply for Adjust of Status and EAD u can work on EAD work authorization and this usually take 3 months or more after filling this...

How much money will he need to have? And, how much money do the co-sponsor need to have?

well i think annual 36,000$ give no reason for make any issue in consulate

The $$$$ depends on what visa you want to come on ...

If you are coming on a fiancee visa, your sponsor has to make 50% above poverty level, and right now, that is 16,500.00 per year ... us dollars.

If you are coming on a student visa, then you do have to have about $30,000.00 in savings.

Also ... just an FYI ... I am going through the same situation currently, and I have been told the K1 fiancee visa is a bit quicker and less of a hassle than a marriage visa.

Okay, so if my boyfriend makes more than 16.500 per year, I would not have to have an co-sponsor?

Is it the same amount of money for the co-sponsor?

Well .. it all depends ... are you coming on a K1 or a student visa??? If it is a k1, then that is the amount as of now per my lawyers response 2 days ago, but you know that everything changes quickly with immigration. It is also important that he has no gaps in his employment, and that he has been paying taxes.
