  • Do out of status K2 visitors have an A number?

I came to the U.S. on a K2 visa as a child but my father never submitted the AOS. My visa has long since expired, and we are in the process of submitting the I-485, along with other documents, to adjust my status. The application asks for an A number, which I cannot seem to locate on my visa. Do out of status K2 holders even have an A number? If so, where can I locate it?

    Thank you

If you came as a k-2 child, you probably weren't told your alien registration number ("A" number) in any documents. But, you do have one. It's okay to leave that field blank in your I-485. Your Green card will show your A# once it's approved. for now, you may leave it blank.
    --Good luck--
Good luck. I learned the hard way, I hope you don't have to. Immigration is interesting. Not considered as legal advice.
