  • I need your help

    Hi,

I am from Cambodia, I have a boyfriend in USA and we have known each other for one year but we have never meet each other in person, we only saw the picture of each other and we talk together by phone everyday. He is planing to Cambodia in the comming month and we are planing to engagement because it is quicker than marriage but i worry that we have enough evidence to show that we have know each other for long time because he don't know how to use internet or e-mail and he buys the phone card for calling, so it is not showing the number on the bill of phone. Moreover, he doesn't know what document that he should prepare before he come to Cambodia for enagement and how much income that he can support me without sponsor ? Please help to advise us. Thanks, Nika

If you take the K1 route(fiancee visa) you need to meet your fiancee within 2 years of your application. Visiting you is the first step. Take as many pictures as you can showing the two of you together, if you get engage( the ring receipt is a plus). Take pictures with your family, too. Try to provide tickets, or whatever that shows both your name on it. When he goes back to US let him start the K1 visa. He needs co-sponsor if he has no job. You can go to www.USCIS.gov to download the forms

Hi Nika, he still needs a sponsor if his salary does not meet the 125% poverty level. Do you already know the requirements for K1 ? If you have further question just e-mail me at [email protected]
