  • US citizen trying to sponsor Canadian fiancee citizen

I am a 21 year old US citizen who is trying to get my 22 year old Canadian fiancee to immigrate here legally.

    Some history:
We met online when I was 12 and she was 13. We became best friends. We started dating each other online when I was 14 and she was 15.
First trip: We met for the first time in person in December 2014 (I was 18 and she was 19). She stayed until December 31, 2014 and returned to Canada.
Second trip: June 2015 she flew down. We went on a cruise in July to Florida and Cozumel, Mexico, where I proposed and she said yes, and back to Florida. She was scheduled to fly back (round trip) in August, but we decided she can stay longer, so she flew back using a one way ticket in September 2015.
Third trip: She flew down using another one way ticket in February 2016 and flew back using a one way ticket in June 2016.
Fourth trip: She flew down in August 2016 under another one way, but received an SSSS on her boarding pass. She was brought to security in Toronto. US customs officers wrote on her passport saying to return to Canada by October 3rd, 2016, and we sent her back on October 2nd.
We have not had trips since, but we want to bring her down in August of this year. We want to know if a fiancee visa is right path and/or if it's even possible.

    Information about us:
I have a steady full time job ($30000/year or $14/hour) and rent an apartment.
She is unemployed. She lives with her parents.

I should be a bit more clear. This August trip we have planned is going to be an almost 6 month trip. Is she likely to get her time cut short given the above information, whether she can use the B2 visitor visa, or should we go with the fiancee visa?

Also, when she received the SSSS in Toronto, they asked for "proof of ties," but she does not have a job, a name on property, or any other assets. The US customs officer was skeptical on her return to Canada. Would the lack of a job, name on property or any other assets pose issues for her planned almost-6-month trip to the US this August?

It might be, if she seeks admission to the United States as a tourist again. It won't be an issue if she seeks admission to the United States as the fiancee of a US citizen
