Trying to Gather More Evidence of 'Bona Fide' Marriage - USA

Hey there,

Just wondering what I can do to show more evidence of a 'bona fide' marriage? I have tried to open a joint-bank account with my English wife who is currently studying in Ireland, and tried to open that bank account here, but the teller said they needed her present with me to do it. Is there a way around this? What else could I do regarding this and more evidence in general?
