I went to visit my fiancee for the first time in January this year. Ill get to the point. we are filling out the papers we need right now. But one thing i forgot to do and im so mad at myself for this is i didnt bring a camera with me when i went to see her. In the papers they say they need proof we meet in person. i dont know what else to do. Do they need pictures to prove we meet? Im at a lost right now. I really cant afford to go back over there right now because of some personnal issue im having trouble with. Is there anybody who can help me with this? We are doing the best we can right now but i dont know what other proof i can show them that we have meet in person. Thank you if someone can help us with this.

Hey, relax, don't worry, pictures are not the only thing that will prove your relationship. My fiancee and I had no picture at the time that we applied for our K1. But we did have phonebills, e-mails, chats, plane and train tickets(receipts with both our name on it) , and engagement ring to boost our application. Important is you make a copy of your passport(showing your visits), anything that shows that you are in her/his area( like hotel bills, train, whatsoever).
At the interview, when asked why you don't have a picture. Just answer truthfully that you both did not have a camera at that time, and you were just to well, overwhelmed about being together at last that you forgot about taking pictures. Just make sure that your fiancee wont get nervous at the time of the interview(at least hide it).
On your initial K1 application, just send all the vital documents and other proof of relationship even if you dont have pictures.Last edited by happilymarried; 05-23-2006, 07:38 AM.

How long until you got your fiance visa?
Hi, I'm new and really frustrated. My fiance is from South Africa and we've been waiting since January 18, 2006 from when it was received at the CIS. Our lawyer hasn't been very helpful and keeps adding a week to each time we're supposed to hear for an approved visa. My question is, how long did it take you to receive it? and then how long from when your fiance came?

pictures...
just buy one of those disposable cameras... it is not difficult. also provide them with copies of the plane/travel tickets where you were in the country, and a copy of the passport entry/exit stamps. Compile as much evidence as you can. but make it neat and organized.
Jeff.

Can n e one help me on k-1 visa medical question I have
Hello,
I'm in United States & My fiance visa petition has been approved & my fiance has already received his packet 3 & 4 from US consulate from the New Delhi, Embassy (INDIA)
On last friday when he got his medical examination done - the doctor told him that he has a spot showing up in his x-ray due to his smoking habbit in his lungs & he has High Blood pressure as well.
My question: will these symptons will effect him in getting a visa or is he will be DENY for visa due to his Smoking habbit.
Please reply back if possible & be advice what should we do as he has his interview date in the first weekof October 2006.
N e replies & advices are welcome as I am very tensed regarding the situation.
thanks
