  • Notifying native government after marriage in the US

So me and my fiancée finally got approval for our k1 visa. After we get married in the states, would my native country (Turkey) be able to know of our marriage in the states automatically after we get a legal marriage? Or would they not know until we went to a Turkish embassy to inform them of our marriage in the US?

It might be a stupid question. But if anyone can share their experiences or any knowledge about this it will be greatly appreciated!

We wanted to get a legal marriage in the US then save up a while for us to have a wedding ceremony in Turkey. After my adjustment of status is complete and can travel out of the US once that part is complete. We were hoping we can inform my native country of our marriage in the US after we are able to have a wedding ceremony in Turkey.

I highly doubt Turkey or for that matter any other country gets informed of your or someone else marriage. In my case...my native country, we are going to go to the embassy here in the US to get "re-married". They don't technically get informed. You have to re-marry" per se.
