Hello
I travelled to the US on a F-1 visa to complete a graduate and to try to live with my boyfriend of 4 years. He now proposed and I will complete the graduate in a little less than a year. I noticed the K-1 process is about 8 months and that the longest part is to get the full approval of the 129F which takes about 6 month. I was wondering if 5-6 months before I?m going home we could apply for the K-1 visa so that the approval of the 129F happens about the time I?m going home and then it will work out the way that I can go home wait for the things I need to fill out and the interview in my own country. It?s just to avoid spending too much time apart. Will this be okay or could this be considered fraud in some way?
