police certificate and passport certificates for K3 visa

My wife got these certificates recently, but none of them have updates or note added as "married" and my name added. Should changing marital status is needed in the passport? Should the ploice make a note that she is not married?

The question sounds stupid, but the police certificate/passport guidlines say "the last pages of passports if the information is updated etc". If the info is not updated, am I ok?

As long as you have marriage certificate, you don't need any updates in the passport.
