Hello,
My name is Johan and I'm a US citizen (born in Manhattan) but I've been living in Costa Rica since 1994.
I'm planning to move back and start a new life with my Fiance (we have been together 6 years almost).
Our plan is to file a K1 Fiance visa for him and once it's approved move up there and get married.
My only concern is that I've been living outside for a long time and coming back means starting from scratch ( renting an apartment, find a job, etc) which we're up for it.
I've a few questions:
1) How long do I need to wait once I'm back in the US (with a Job, apartment, US back account) to file the K1 petition?
2) Is it possible for my fiance to visit me while the K1 petition is being processed?
I appreciate any insight that you can provide.
