Which office or processing center?

I submitted the request for K1 fiancee. I'm in the waiting stages for them to review. I was trying to check where their case load is (what date they are working on..). When I goto the USCIS-CSSO site I check the CIS processing dates but have no idea what office or processing center to select?

I sent my application to Laguna Nigel, CA but I see in the drop down list San Diego, Chula Vista, and some Los Angeles sites.

I live in El Cajon which is close to San Diego/Chula Vista.


When I do select California Processing Center, the date still shows processing applications from Feb 3, 2006. It said that last month!!

I guess that's the site..

ya my k1 application was sent to the service center in california also....and your right...it hasn't changed in a month. I'm not positive why....but i live in illinois so orginally i sent my application to the nebraska service center since they have jurisdiction....but then it was transferred to california like a month later....when i call uscis they said that nebraska was not processing I129F's at this time so it was sent to california....so my guess is that they're way behind because they have basically double the k1 visas to process since all from nebraska were sent to them....i've only been waiting for about a month and i was told 2 to 3 more months if that helps....not sure if that's gonna happen though

I dont know if you saw the other thread, but something is definitely up (long delays on processing) Depends on how you met your fiancee. If you used a *********** service, there's this new law in effect which tries to protect fiancees from abuse (read : abusive american males)...

Any K1 petition filed after March 20 is subjected to this law. Basically, says the web site has to collect criminal history about the guy before they are allowed to meet the girl.

If this wasnt followed, then the visa is denied!

well every K1 visa petition which been submitted after 16 March 2005 are returend to NVC for review all K1 are effected by this new Immigration law..,so now the security procedure and waiting time is more than before..,again i want to say be patient good news will come soon..,
