Interview appointment at CGI

Have you tried to get an interview appointment for finger printing or Visa counseling at https://cgifederal.secure.force.com/applicanthome
and got messages like these:
1) There are currently no appointments available. Please press the Back button and choose a new OFC appointment Date.
or
2 You are approaching the maximum number of times you may view this page. Please complete your transaction at this time.
Don't be frustrated! ok you may as I did as well. But.... let?s try to understand these messages.
First one is meant to say that you have tried to schedule an appointment several times and there is a limit to how many times you can try. I think its around 10 or so.
The caveat is that the page shows you available dates and times, however after selecting a date/time, on the next screen it then says the appointment is not available.
Because the appointment you are getting is for finger printing and for visa counseling, so it's two appointments. they both must be scheduled together and many times they are not available.
So, keep trying, and pick another date and keep trying till you get the second message.
When you get the second message, that means you are locked out because you have reached the maximum number of attempts have been reached. Nothing will work at this time, till the system resets your number of attempts!!
Yes, you will have to wait till the reset takes place. The reset happens, and note this, at 12:00 AM (midnight) Time zone in Washington, DC (GMT-5) or midnight in USA Eastern Standard Time. One you figure out what will be your local time when the system resets, try logging in CGI web site at that time and schedule your appointment!!!
Upon calling Embassy many times, they said to try again in a few hours. The appointments are opened every so often throughout the day, so be patient.
Perhaps you can try 3-4 times and then wait a few hours and then try again till you reach you maximum try limit. Good luck!
My personal opinion is that the best chance of getting an appointment is right after the system resets AT 12:00 AM (midnight) Time zone in Washington, DC (GMT-5).
