Hello, Everyone!
Apologies if this question doesn't belong here.
I was planning on bringing my fiance here next year on a K1 visa. I've read the new Trump proposal and I'm worried because my fiance has a spinal cord injury that affects walking. My fiance works as a freelancer but doesn't make significant money; however, I am prepared to support him as long as need be. I'm worried he'll be automatically considered a public charge under the new Trump proposal which would block people from the US for having certain medical conditions among other things including using public assistance. My fiance also has a small disability pension in the Russian Federation but works to supplement it. I don't know if anyone can really help since it's so early. I'm just trying to get some insight. I did seek legal advice from a lawyer I spoke with previously but he was not able to answer my question.
Thank you!
