Im From The Philippines But Ive Been Here In Korea For A Year And A Half(illegaly)....i Got Married Just Recently To An American,he's In The Army And He Is Leaving So Soon...we Already Filed Form I-130 And Planning To Wait In The Philippines But I Know It Will Take Forever...thats Why I Wanna Know If Its Possible For Me To Get A Tourist Visa From Here And Then Go To The Philippines Then From The Philippines To The States And In The States File For Adjustment Of Status.....will That Work?????

the proccess time in your case will be not that long! Dont try it with a tourist-visa! Stay home be honest to your local US-Consulate and will get your VISA!

when my husband file for I-129F in the states,does he have to submit the ORIGINAL copy of the evidence that hes american like a birth certificate or A XEROX copy will be fine???

Its not dishonest/illegal to apply for one as long as you dont lie on the form. But Its unlikely youll get a visitors visa right now because your husband already filed an immigrant petition on your behalf. The form will ask you, you shouldnt lie but once u answer yes, then thats it...........theres something called a "non immigrant" intent, that is, you plan to return . You clearly have an immigrant intent and so does not qualify for a visitors visa. You can always try...but be honest on the form......applying and getting rejected wont affect the I-130 but I doubt youll get it.

I understand they want a copy, front and back, of the original birth certificate. But my birth certificate has nothing written on the back, its completely blank. So would the front part be enough? I'm sure it is, but why would they want a blank copy of the back?

They dont kno wthat the back is blank. Some aren't.

When he files the I-129F, he should only send copies of documents. The only original that should be sent is the I-129F form itself (and you should keep xerox copies of this just in case).

You will have to provide originals of all evidence during your interview.

I know the I-129F process is frustrating (I am going through this myself now), but you just have to stick with it and be patient.
