Confused about the IMBRA regulation

My fiancee and I met initally in a public chat room 2 years ago. We were online friends and we chatted a lot before I finally met her in person last year. Since then I've seen her 2 more times and now we plan to marry. If I mention that I met her first in a public chat room and then we met in person later on,
I'm not going to have a problem with the IMBRA regulation right? I don't think there's any connection, but I just want to be sure. Thanks

I'm not certain what IMBRA is, but based on your question, I think it has to do with mail order bride. I had a conversation with my attorney prior to filing. He said as long as the chat room was not for the purpose of being a mail order bride situation, there is no problem. And actually, even if it is, there are just additional info requirements. I met my fiance in a french chat room, and then have seen him in person twice.

No IMBRA is not going to have any effect on your case. A lot of people meet in chat rooms and get married to the US citizens all the time. As long as you satisfy all the conditions for the fiancee visa, it is not a problem.
