update on adm. processing

Hello,

My fiancce's case (chennai India) has been under AP since end of May.
Beginning of August he rec'd a letter from Consulate asking him to send old & new passport., Blue sheet notifying him that case is under AP, any documents that were check marked on the blue sheet (in his case it was none) and this letter .

He then sent the above items by overnight mail.

What is the next step? What does this all mean? When will he be notified whether he was approved or not. His passport was stamped "application rec'd" he gave two index finger prints and they also took the courier fees at the time of the interview.
If someone has experience with AP process, please let me know what to expect next.

hi iam abdullah and i have gone throught embassy procedure in this april
tell me what did they said to ur fiance at the time of leaving . did u had the enogh evidence to prove ur realtionsip with ur fiance ... they need picture . e-mails , greetings card and phone bills etc .. if ur fiance passport is staamped and he still dint got the visa , ithink he is rejected . the best thing for u to do is go to ur fiance and get married to him and then file the case again . hope consualte people can undersand how hard it is to live without the partner who we love ..

passport mailed to consulate

My fiance case was put under AP since May 2006. In End of July, my fiance rec'd a request from consulate to mail his passport. They called two weeks later and said they rec'd passport . They asked if he had an old passport, which my fiance does not have he only had a copy, but they said no they don't need copy. He has not heard from them since Mid August. What does this all mean?

ok nouri dont need to worry they take passports for issue the visa yes sometimes the processing take long cos file goes to consuler table and than its matter of time when he wish to view file but as soon as he view file they make a final decesion and issue the visa..,

security check

I just read yr email posted 10/04. Since then , my fiance was put under security check since end of Aug (Washington). I call DOS once aweek, and they say pending adm processing. How long is this process going to take & is this the last stage before issuance. Or is this a sign they don't want to issue visa? Please respond THX

Administrative processing in India takes on the average of 45 working days = 60 days total.
Did they ask him to get fingerprinted or did they say any name check.

Another thing u can do is send an email to the local embassy asking them details.

adm processing

he was put under ap since may. but a security check was placed in aug.
at the time of interview he was asked to give fingerprints of index fingers only. dos says he is pending ap and has a security check. if i email local consulate all they say is yr case is still under ap. we will contact you when process is complete.

passport

consulate requested passport and are holding it for 2 months now. according to DOS, fiance had a security check in Washington.
How long does this take to resolve? Anyone went thru the same situation?

I am in same situation...

I have been waiting my security clearence since end of the May 2006. We did not any answer yet. We have newborn twins which is I have not seen yet. İt is so depresiff and stresful not to know how long does it going to take more? This people just does not know what is separation and not being able to with your family. We just get same answer all the time ; still under rewiev. They have every tools on their hands. I can not understand why it takes too make distinction between two similar name.They know everything. we do not have nothing to hide. I will go crazy I guess. I hope everybodies proplem solve soon...
