pregnant and confused

Okay, I am seriously hoping someone can help me out here...I am an American currently engaged to a British citizen. He lives in the U.K. and I am a student there. I am coming back to the U.S. in December. Our baby is due in March. He wants to be here for the birth and the time leading up to the birth, as well as afterwards. The problem, of course, is how to get him in the country. We want to make the U.S. our permanent home. Should we a) bring him in on a fiancee visa? (the problem would be at this point it might take forever for him to get it) b) marry in England and then apply for a spousal visa c) have him come over as a tourist and marry here and then apply for a green card (which I know is illegal) ? We don't want to be separated for very long due to the pregnancy. I am kind of at my wit's end as to what to do. Does anyone have any ideas?
