  • Can n e one can help me on K-1 Medical question I have !!!!

    Hello,
I'm in United States & My fiance visa petition has been approved & my fiance has already received his packet 3 & 4 from US consulate from the New Delhi, Embassy (INDIA)

on last friday when he got his medical examination done - the doctor told him that he has a spot showing up in his x-ray due to his smoking habbit in his lungs & he has High Blood pressure as well.

My question: will these symptons will effect him in getting a visa or is he will be DENY for visa due to his Smoking habbit.

Please reply back if possible & be advice what should we do as he has his interview date in the first weekof October 2006.

    Thanks

No, it wont matter that he smokes. It MAY matter that he has a spot on his lungs. The doctor may just have been telling him for his own benefit...........look at the form, the doctor will either medically clear him or not so youll know before he goes to the embassy. He can only be excluded for specific illnesses and only the doctor knows what the spot means. But why wa she xrayed in the first place?

Hi all k1 applicants from India are xrayed, next step is they will do mantoux test to r/o tuberculosis.
If it comes negative he will have no problems with visa, if it comes postive they may do further tests to r/o TB.

In the rare case he has it, they will ask him to get treated and then come to US.

Dont worry about this, as TB is a very common disease and very curable.

The doctors in India can manage it better than in USA. It is also cheaper to get treated there.
