Fiance Visa or Spouse Visa..Confusion

My fiance is a US citizen..He has already applied for the petition in the US for a fiance Visa. The petition is expected to get approved by June'07. In the meanwhile, if we get married in India..How would it affect our application?

Don't get married. This will mess up you K1 application if the US consular find out you are married. Remember the K1 visa is only for unmarried people. Just be patient and wait to get the K1 visa. You can have a ceremony or sort just as long as it is not an official wedding with a legal marriage certificate recognized by the government.

Mike is correct. You will be disqualified for the K1 if you get married. Getting married in your country can really mess things up if you have a child between 19 and 21.
