Anyone have timelines for processing K1Visa for Canadian Fiance?

My fiance in the USA (Illinois) just advised me he rec'd "receipt notification" from INS on Dec. 27 with a tracking # which he looked up and which advised they are now processing applications from last June 2006 - Yikes!

Does anyone know if the processing for Canadians is any faster (or slower) than for some of the other countries? We had tentatively booked our banquet hall for this coming June 30, 2007 thinking that was enough time but now we're very worried and wondering if we should move the date to like, September... Does anyone know if that is enough time for them to approve, notify us, and for the interview to occur?

Hi, I filed an I-129F fiancee visa petition for my fiancee in Kenya. It was received Oct. 27, 2006 and was approved Dec. 26, 2006. This was done at the California Service Center. I requested expedited processing and may have received it, since the site currently says they are processing applications with a July 17 receipt date. My fiancee is not here yet, but we're hopeful that she can come soon...we're still waiting on the interview with the US Embassy.
