problems working abroad?

I am in the US on a greencard. When I went here in April I was hoping to find a work, but I´ve had problems finding one within my area. Now I got an offer to work in my home country. If I go home to work for a while and than come back, will I get any problems? Is there any specific things I should have in mind if i do so? Do I need to make any applications or so? My greencard is on temporary conditions until April 2008.
